Hello guys I hope you are doing fine. So this is the first chapter of Seducing him. I hope you will give it lots of love and support
Ruhanika's pov
I sat on the edge of my bed, my heart pounding in my chest as I adjusted the heavy silk saree, my bridal saree around my body. The red fabric embroidered with golden threads, contrasted with my skin. My long, dark hair was styled in an elegant bun with delicate flowers decorated around it. Today was my wedding day and I, Ruhanika Agarwal was about to marry a man I had never met, never talked to. A man who was over a decade older than me.
A few weeks ago, my life had been so different. I was a carefree young woman, enjoying my life. I had just completed my graduation and was confused with what I should do next. But all that changed when my father, a proud and egoistic man came to me with a request that would change the course of my life forever. I still can't believe how my life completely changed after it.
I was in my room, when I heard a knock on my door. "Come in" I called out assuming it was my mother with her usual afternoon talks. But to my surprise it was my father who entered, his eyes downcast and his shoulders were down, a posture I had never seen him in before.
"Beta, I need to talk to you about something important" he said, his voice heavy with emotion. I put down my phone and gestured for him to take a seat beside me. As he sat, I noticed his hands trembling slightly and my heart went out to him. I had never seen my father, the pillar of strength and discipline so vulnerable.
"What's the matter Papa?" I asked gently taking his hand in mine. He took a deep breath as if gathering the courage to speak. "Ruhanika, there's a proposal for your marriage. It's with a man named Abhimanyu Rathore"
The name sounded familiar but I couldn't quite place it. "What dad it's not even my age for marriage"
My father shook his head, his eyes now fixed on the floor. "No beta. You have to marry him because..." He paused, as if struggling to find the right words.
"This marriage will only save our family". He looked up at me, his eyes filled with a mixture of desperation and hope. "Ruhanika you do this marriage right. You will save our business and family right. Then you have to marry Abhimanyu"
I felt like my heart was broken. It felt as if the room was spinning. Marry a man I didn't know a complete stranger to save our family business? It was too much for me "But Dad, I don't even know him! How can you ask me to do this".
My father's eyes pleaded with me. "I know, beta, I know it's a lot to ask. But please, for the sake of our family, consider it. I've never begged you for anything, but I'm begging you now. Please, save us".
His words echoed in my mind, "Please, save us". I felt too pressurized. So pressurized that my one decision could change everything for our family. I am a kind of person who would have easily brushed my dad off, but when he begged for me to get married just to save our family. I don't know but I have to make one decision. I felt a duty to my family to do what was asked of me, no matter how hard it seemed. I took a deep breath, looking into my father's hopeful eyes. "I'll do it, Papa. I'll marry him".
The relief was over his face. He hugged me tightly and in that moment I felt a sense of duty and sacrifice that I had never known before. But little did I know, this decision would change my life forever.
And now here I was on my wedding day, dressed in a beautiful yet suffocating bridal saree about to marry a stranger. As I sat there, my mind wandered back to the events of the past few weeks. The hurried preparations, the endless shopping trips for the perfect wedding attire and the awkward meetings with Abhimanyu's family, all while my heart yearned for a different life. I never once looked at his face because I never felt like doing it. I had never thought I will have to marry a person who will be so aged than me. This marriage had shattered all my expectations and dreams of a perfect marriage.
My train of thoughts was interrupted by the sound of my mother's voice. "Ruhanika, it's time. The guests are waiting, and your groom is here"
I took a deep breath, preparing myself for what was to come. "I'm coming Ma" I replied. As I stood up my mother entered the room, her eyes brimming with tears. "Oh, my dear girl, you look so beautiful" she said, her voice cracking.
I managed a small smile, though my heart was heavy. "Ma, please, don't make me do this. I don't want to marry him" I pleaded, my voice was breaking.
My mother's eyes filled with determination. "Ruhanika, I know this is hard, but it's for the best. Your father has done everything he can to save our family. This marriage is the only way" She pulled me into a tight embrace, and I couldn't help but cry into her shoulder.
After a few moments, I composed myself, wiped my tears and nodded, knowing that there was no turning back. I stepped out of my room, my heart pounding as I made my way to the wedding hall. The room was filled with guests, their eyes fixed on me as I walked, my heart feeling like it was about to burst out of my chest.

The wedding hall was decorated with flowers.
It was lit up with lights whereas the feeling within me was dark.
On the stage, I saw him for the first time. Abhimanyu Rathore, my soon-to-be husband, tall and broad, his dark sherwani accentuating his muscular frame. His sharp features and intense gaze sent a shiver down my spine. He was undeniably handsome but the coldness in his eyes sent a clear message that he was a strict and dangerous man.
The ceremony began and I went through the motions, my mind numb. We exchanged flower garlands. I could feel his eyes on me, but I refused to meet his gaze.
As he tied the mangalsutra around my neck, I felt a sense of fear, a fear that I won't be as carefree and independent I used to be earlier. With each phera, I thought of the life I had dreamed of, a life where I would marry for love, not duty. But those dreams now felt like distant memories, replaced by the harsh reality of my situation.
The ceremony ended and I forced a smile for the countless photographs, my eyes downcast, my heart heavy. I hugged my father. My anger towards him momentarily was forgotten and then I bid farewell to my mother and siblings, my heart was breaking with each goodbye.

After the wedding, His sister welcomed us home with the Arti. I was now welcomed to my new home, a grand mansion situated the outskirts of the city, with a breathtaking view of the ocean. As I stepped inside, I was greeted by the luxury that was now my world. The marble floors, the grand staircase and the artwork on the walls all spoke of wealth and power. He also had a big beautiful swimming pool.
We then had some traditional rasams/rituals. I was teased a lot by his sister's and cousins for our first night together but honestly speaking I was not enjoying all of this. I was not able to process what had happened in my life for now.
I was led to my new bedroom, a spacious with a large balcony overlooking the sea. The room was filled with the scent of fresh flowers and the bed was full of rose petals. It was really a romantic setting for a newlywed couple. But to me, it was a stark reminder of the sacrifice I had made, not just of my freedom, but now of my body as well.

(Author's pov: hope uhh like it otherwise imagine as uhh want )
As night fell, I heard the door open and my heart began to race. Abhimanyu entered the room, his tall figure filling the doorway. I sat on the bed, my legs drawn up to my chest, my eyes tightly shut, praying for this night to be over.
I felt a gentle touch on my shoulder and my veil ( ghunghat ) was lifted. I slowly opened my eyes looking onto the face of my husband so close for the first time. Abhimanyu's features were striking, his brown eyes, thick lashes and his pink, plum lips were totally a work of art. His beard accentuated his strong jawline and showed power and his short, slicked-back hair added more power and masculinity.
I couldn't deny his attractiveness, but he was still a stranger and the thought of what was to come made my stomach churn. I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the inevitable. But then, I heard his voice, soft and unexpected.
"Ruhanika, look at me". His voice was like a command, yet there was a hint of something else, something I couldn't quite place.
I slowly opened my eyes meeting his gaze.
His eyes held mine and for a moment, I felt a connection, a spark of something unknown. Before I could process what was happening, he spoke again. But what he said next sent a shiver down my spine .
That's it guys. This was the first chapter. I hope you liked it.
